The beautiful Island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland may be remote, but Scottish Water ensures that the residents and visitors benefit from the finest quality drinking water.

In order to do this Scottish Water needed the best coagulant controller available so they turned to Process Instruments and the CoagSense Coagulation Controller. Installed in 2022, the CoagSense measures pH, turbidity, uV254 and streaming current and automatically controls the coagulant dose to ensure the optimum solids and organics removal from the water being treated.
