Peracetic Acid Controller used in Dairy Processes
The PeraSense range of peracetic acid controllers, peracetic acid analyzers and peracetic acid monitors from Pi utilize the very latest and best peracetic acid sensors available. They are membrane devices that use no reagents, are extremely stable and have reduced maintenance and reduced whole life costs.
Many dairies use peracetic acid as a sterilizer during their milk processing. A CRIUS® PeraSense monitors peracetic acid levels in a water tank at a dairy site in Stonehouse. The contents of this tank must stay strictly within the optimum levels of peracetic acid to eliminate the risk of contamination further down the process.

This customer contacted the Pi service team due to concerns relating to the length of time between the servicing of their equipment and some variable readings. During the commissioning visit by Pi’s service engineers, several handheld tests were carried out to determine the accuracy of the sensor readings. These tests found that the PeraSense was working perfectly. At Pi we strive to provide only the best quality and user-friendly controllers and sensors. Our products stand the test of time and require significantly less maintenance than competitors. This is reflected in this customers’ worry that due to a long time between maintenance, the sensor might have been producing inaccurate readings. However, it was clearly shown that this was not the case.
During the commissioning visit, Pi’s service engineers provided training to the onsite staff regarding general equipment knowledge and maintenance schedule. This means that future maintenance can be carried out by site staff.
