LEADING water instrumentation company, Process Instruments (PI), to date has supplied over 300 chlorine analyzers to Northern Ireland Water (NIW) as part of NIW’s on-going investment into the Province’s water supply systems.
Working with Achromatic Water Ltd & EXCPS Ltd
Process Instruments teamed up with Achromatic Water Ltd and ECPS Ltd in 2008 to form a joint venture for the supply, installation and commissioning of 328 residual chlorine analyzers to replace the majority of NIW’s existing installations.
The contract was awarded after an arduous and extensive tender process and trial during which the joint venture partners were able to demonstrate superior quality and functionality over and above their competitors. The pioneering CL 2000 Residual Chlorine Analyzer is the world’s first auto-calibrating residual chlorine analyzer with two-way remote communication via GPRS and the internet, which won through on stability, lower maintenance costs, and value-for-money.
Mike Riding of Process Instruments (UK) Ltd, the manufacturers of the chlorine analyzers in Burnley, Lancashire said of the project:
“We were very proud to have been chosen by Northern Ireland Water to supply over 300 residual chlorine analyzers. This is probably the single biggest order for chlorine analyzers ever placed and it is great for a UK manufacturer to be awarded this contract. Maybe other big users of chlorine analyzers will take notice of the smooth way this contract has run.”
