Chemtrac Partnership Essential to Pi Success

Pi’s Board of Directors with a 20th Anniversary Gift from Chemtrac

The partnership between Pi and Chemtrac has been fundamental to Pi’s success. Chemtrac is, and has been, a customer, distributor, OEM, supplier and supporter since Pi’s launch in 1998.

Chemtrac was founded in 1985 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The company was launched with the introduction of a new streaming current monitor, allowing people to measure coagulation processes in real time, known to Pi’s customers as ‘StreamerSense’. Chemtrac has since grown to include particle counters (ParticleSense), laboratory charge analyzers (LabSense) as well as other sensors supplied by Pi.

Vice President and General Manager at Chemtrac, John Clark said:

“It’s more than just a business relationship – it’s a trusted partnership. We collaborate with Pi to create better products, better systems and better solutions for our customers. We are in communication with Pi daily, and we try to get together at least a couple of times a year. We share new ideas, technical expertise and practical experiences.”

Jim Evans, Technical Director, flew to the UK to attend Pi’s 20th Anniversary party on behalf of Chemtrac. He said:

“It was an honour to represent Chemtrac at the 20th Anniversary celebration. While the event was a black-tie affair, it was not at all stuffy as many formal functions can be. In contrast to the formal attire, the gathering seemed rather casual. I think that this is due to the unique family atmosphere that Pi has created among their employees and in their workplace.”
