We aren’t completely sure yet but we will be measuring our carbon usage over the next few months to see!

And why do we think we might be? As part of Pi’s commitment to carbon neutrality we have installed over 200 photo voltaic panels on our roof and the electricity they generate more than covers our electricity needs, day to day. The excess that we generate goes back into the grid to provide green energy for other electricity users.

Pi also emits carbon during its day to day operations, for example on longer car journeys (most of our cars are hybrids so charge from the electricity we generate from the PVs on our roof), when we fly or stay at hotels.

So over the next year Pi will be tracking the carbon we are using and the carbon we are saving by generating our own electricity, and if we are saving more than we are using then we are carbon neutral!

We’ll let you know!
