In 2007 Northern Ireland Water ordered 333 residual chlorine analysers to monitor their distribution system, secondary disinfection plants and some treatment works…Now 16 years later some of these are being replaced with new residual chlorine analysers from Pi.
A Pi analyser (branded Achromatic) was installed at Mallusk in 2007 and is still working, monitoring free residual chlorine. The works are being upgraded by Maverick Controls who have added two analysers (Pi branded) before decommissioning the original analyser.
Andrew Matthews of Maverick Controls said “The first analyser is still going strong after 16 years, giving great results with minimum maintenance. It just made sense to come back to Pi and replace like with like”.
Mike Riding, Managing Director of Pi who visited the site on a recent trip to Northern Ireland said “It’s great to see an analyser that Pi sold 16 years ago still going strong in Northern Ireland Water. The new installation looks great too, very professionally installed, and we are looking forward to working with Maverick Controls into the future”.
