Last week work came to a halt at Pi in Burnley, Lancashire for 20 minutes, as Mike Riding, Pi’s Managing Director was interviewed on video about working with Lancaster University on a new sensor.

Developing New Sensor With Lancaster University

Pi have been working with Lancaster University’s new Chemistry Department on a new sensor that is due to be released in 2017.

The work is being done at Pi by a postdoctoral associate on the UK government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme. Dr Jeff Prest said of his KTP position at Pi:

“It has been a great experience so far! Being employed by the University of Lancaster and working at Pi gives me great access to the academic resources I need and great experience of working with exceptional professionals at Pi in a high tech, high quality, industrial setting”.
