Suspended Solids
Suspended Solids

With a range of options designed to provide the suspended solids monitoring solution for your application, the Process Instruments suspended solids analyser is used particularly successfully in Waste Water Treatment Works, Paper Mills and other chemical or industrial applications.

There are four different Suspended solids analyzer probes that utilise different optical technology for different solids contents. The suspended solids monitor probes are stainless steel and are built to work in the most demanding of applications. If you want to monitor suspended solids at any point in your plant, this instrument has the probe and accessories to do it, even if other instruments have failed.

Suspended Solids Analyser Benefits

  • Designed for Industry as well as Waste WTW
  • Successful where other Suspended Solids instruments fail
  • Process monitoring and control in real-time
  • Self-cleaning robust design reduces maintenance costs
  • Automatic self-compensation for sensor fouling
  • 4-20mA output with dual alarm setting for automated process control
  • Proven to be accurate and reliable where other turbidity monitors have failed

Suspended Solids Principle of Operation

The Suspended Solids analyser instrument uses a four-beam pulsed light method of operation. This eliminates interference from extraneous light sources and compensates for detector soiling and the ageing of the optical modules. The arrangement of this four beam technology allows measurement of the light transmitted, scattered or reflected by a medium. This allows for the most precise measurement of suspended solids in a liquid from single figure NTU up to 8% solids! For suspended solids monitors for suspended solids greater than 8% please see our dry solids analyser.
