The SENTINEL is a sophisticated yet easy to use data logging and process monitoring communications device. Simply put, it takes various inputs, datalogs them, and then outputs that data, or alarms derived from it, in a variety of ways. The most immediate is via a Bluetooth link to a mobile phone. In turn this phone can send SMS alerts to any mobile anywhere in the world. Alternatively this can be done via a GSM/GPRS modem. In addition any PC can dial into the SENTINEL process monitor and request its datalogs via the mobile network. The SENTINEL datalogger can also output 4-20mA signals, relays, datalogs via USB, and over the internet or an intranet via TCP/IP. The SENTINEL datalogger process monitor comes in an IP65 (NEMA 4x) enclosure with a power supply suitable for use anywhere in the world. Not only is it more sophisticated than other data loggers and process monitors on the market, it is also less expensive and far simpler to use with no complex setup via a Laptop required.

Anywhere you have a requirement to data log and alarm from a process monitor device that outputs either 4-20mA, 0-10V, TTLs or pulse frequency counting, is a suitable application for the SENTINEL datalogger. It isn't always easy to tap into an existing SCADA system or introduce one quickly. With its array of communications protocols the SENTINEL process monitor is the flexible solution.
Most organisations have some form of datalogging collection and process monitor control systems in place. These are often fixed installation, expensive and limited in their function. Sometimes it just isn't worth extending the SCADA for a temporary datalogging installation or even a fixed process monitor installation. Sometimes the polling frequency isn't enough for a critical application. If you need datalogs to go to a third party who normally don't have access to your SCADA process monitoring then the SENTINEL datalogger process monitor is the solution.
